Why Trump Withdrawed from Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) ?

On 26th April,2019 Donald Trump withdrawed from United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). 

By Accusing Treaty as misguided and an intrusion of the sovereignty of United States. 

   WHAT IS ARMS TRADE TREATY ?

United Nations Arms Trade Treaty 

( UNATT ) is a multilateral treaty that regulates international trade in Conventional Weapons. 

It came in to force on 24th December, 2014.

101 States have ratified the treaty and 34 States have signed the treaty but not ratified it. 

This treaty seeks to regulate the flow of weapons into conflicted zones. 

It requires member countries to keep records of international transfers and phobhits countries to transfer weapon where they can be used to violate other's human rights. 

This treaty covers light weapons, tanks, attack helicopters, tanks, missiles and small weapons. 

 Reason for Withdrawl

Trump said," We will not allow foreign bureaucrats to trample on your 'Second Amendment Freedom'

The second amendment allows US citizens to keep and bear arms and ammunition which was adopted on December 15,1791 as a part of Bill of Rights.
